D'Orsay

D’Orsay is a French perfume house with almost two centuries of history, rooted in one of perfumery’s most romantic beginnings. The story starts with Count Alfred d’Orsay, a charismatic Parisian artist and dandy of the early nineteenth century, who created a personal fragrance in 1830 for his beloved Marguerite Gardiner, Countess of Blessington. They wore the scent as an intimate expression of love throughout their lifelong secret relationship.

 

From this poetic origin, the house evolved into a bastion of quiet elegance and characterful French style, known for fragrances that are intelligent, faceted, and never loud.
