Refund and Returns Policy

Your right to return

As a consumer purchasing through bynecessities.be, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without giving a reason. This is your right under Belgian consumer protection law (Book VI of the Code of Economic Law).

What you can return

You can return any product that is:

  • Unopened and unused — still in its original packaging, with seals intact
  • In the condition you received it — undamaged, with all tags, labels, and accessories included

What you cannot return

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned once opened or unsealed:

  • Perfumes, eaux de parfum, eaux de toilette, and other fragrances with broken seals
  • Cosmetic and skincare products that have been opened or used
  • Personal care items such as deodorants, balms, or hygiene products
  • Sample products and miniatures
  • Personalized or made-to-order items
  • Gift cards

This is in line with the exceptions to the right of withdrawal listed in Article VI.53 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law.

How to return an item

  1. Contact us first at info@necessities-antwerp.be within 14 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and the items you wish to return.
  2. We will respond with return instructions and the return address.
  3. Pack the items securely in their original packaging, including any accessories.
  4. Ship the return within 14 days of notifying us. The return shipping cost is paid by you, unless the item was defective or sent in error.
  5. Use a trackable shipping method. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit.

Refunds

Once we receive your return and confirm the items are in acceptable condition, we will refund the purchase price within 14 days, using the same payment method you used for the original order.

  • Refunds include the original shipping cost only if you return the entire order
  • If you return part of an order, the original shipping cost is not refunded
  • Refunds for return shipping are not provided unless the return is due to our error or a defective product

Damaged or defective products

If your product arrives damaged or is defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs of the damage or defect

We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund at no cost to you, in accordance with the legal warranty of conformity (24 months for consumers).

Wrong product received

If you received an incorrect item, contact us at info@necessities-antwerp.be within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange to collect the wrong item and ship the correct one, at no additional cost to you.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you’d like a different product, please return the original (following the procedure above) and place a new order.
