Palais Bourbon takes its name from the Parisian palace built in 1722 for Louise-Françoise de Bourbon, and from Bourbon vanilla, the term coined in 1964 for vanilla cultivated in the Indian Ocean. Madagascar vanilla leads, paired with amber and oud for warm depth. Black pepper, cardamom, and cinnamon open the composition, with akigalawood, vetiver, and patchouli adding a dry, woody backbone. Benzoin, Peruvian balsam, and Brazilian tonka settle into resinous warmth and a soft almond-like sweetness.
