  Opopanax, a resin related to myrrh and benzoin, was once prized along ancient trade routes as a sacred fragrant remedy. Balmy and softly vanillic, it mingles with incense to fill the room with a calm, enveloping warmth.

  At Diptyque, fragrance is integral to the art of living. Each candle is developed over months to create a distinct atmosphere and is produced in around ten steps. Several finishing touches are completed by hand, including centring the wicks after the wax is poured and trimming them to a precise height.
