  Benzoin resin has a warm, balsamic aroma with soft vanilla-like sweetness and gentle spicy undertones, long treasured across Asia and the Orient since antiquity. As the candle burns, dry bark notes mingle with caramelized resin, filling the room with a soft, enveloping warmth.

  At Diptyque, fragrance is integral to the art of living. Each candle is developed over months to create a distinct atmosphere and is produced in around ten steps. Several finishing touches are completed by hand, including centring the wicks after the wax is poured and trimming them to a precise height.
